Todd County School District Superintendent Mark Thomas is pleased to announce that Mrs. Jennifer Oyler has been chosen to be the next principal of the South Todd Elementary School.
Oyler will formally begin her new role as principal on July 1.
“We had a wonderful candidate pool to select from and interviewed very qualified individuals. Of those individuals which we interviewed, it was clear that Mrs. Jennifer Oyler was the right person to be our South Todd Elementary Principal,” Superintendent Thomas stated. “I want to thank all of the South Todd Elementary SBDM Members for their dedication and commitment throughout this process.
Oyler has worked for the past 16 years at South Todd Elementary. In her seventeen years of teaching, Oyler has held various teacher leadership roles within the school.
Mrs. Oyler is a Todd County native, married to her husband, Michael for almost 27 year, along with being a mother to her twins, Michael Austin and Michaela. Oyler stated she is so very humbled and honored to be selected as the principal for South Todd Elementary School. “My primary goals,” said Oyler, “are to lead by example and strive to provide support to my colleagues, our students, their families, and our community in any way that I am able.”
Working with the SBDM council and staff, Oyler stated she has a vision to bring together all stakeholders - students, teachers, families, and community. “I am very excited about the opportunities to be able to work together with our school, our families, and our community for the benefit of our children. We are stronger together and it is my desire to meet with many of you over the summer. South Todd holds such a special place in my heart, and I am blessed to have this privilege. I have been and will continue to be invested in our students, families, and my colleagues, all of which are like family to me. I am excited to take the first steps in helping to make our school the best elementary school in the Bluegrass!”
