Mr. Eric Foister has been named Assistant Superintendent for the Todd County School District. Foister is currently serving as Principal of Todd County Horizons Academy and will continue to fill that role while expanding his responsibilities as he transitions to his new position.
Foister will supervise and review the evaluation and performance of the district’s personnel department, ensuring that staff hired work to provide outstanding levels of services to schools. Foister will also administer the Board of Education’s Site-Based Decision-Making policies and procedures at Todd County School District, as they pertain to personnel and student services, and will work with principals and other administrators to monitor staffing needs, develop staffing plans and support classified and certified staff in the district.
Mr. Foister is in his 27th year in public education. For the past two years he has served as Principal for Todd County Horizons Academy. Before coming to Todd County School District, Foister had previously worked for Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. His various roles included Assistant Principal, Special Education Consultant, Head Boys Basketball Coach and teacher at both the middle school and high school levels. Before moving to Western Kentucky in 2009, he was the Assistant Director for Adams-Wells Special Services CO-OP where he hired, supervised and developed staff while overseeing special education programs for four different school districts in Indiana. Mr. Foister was a Head Boys’ Basketball coach and science teacher for 17 years in Indiana and Florida, before advancing to administration. He was named 4A Coach of the Year for the State of Florida in 1996 and District Coach of the Year in 2010 and 2011 at West Creek High School in Clarksville, TN
Mr. Foister has extensive backgrounds in special education, intervention models, digital curriculum as well as professional development for teachers and staff. He is a proud father to his daughter Savannah, who is a 2014 Todd County Central High School Alumni.

He is very dedicated to the goals of the district, and I believe he will be an outstanding asset to our administrative team, supporting our schools in this role.”
Mr. Foister will replace current Assistant Superintendent Camille Dillingham, who is retiring from the position March 31.
